ASL Countries and Partners

Created Aug 23 2019, 6:49 AM by Johannes Peter Zimmermann

"The Amazon Sustainable Landscape is an ambitious program to protect the biodiversity and ecosystem services that underpin community livelihoods and global environmental benefits. Building on decades of work in the Amazon region, this program works in collaboration with its partners from government, donor community and civil society organizations to accelerate local and regional solutions and promote sustainability.”

The World Bank Group (WBG) (as lead agency), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are serving as Global Environment Facility (GEF) implementing agencies for the projects. Besides the agencies, other main partners for the Amazon Sustainable Landscapes (ASL) are the public and private organizations directly involved as project executing partners.
