Hello community members!

The World Bank has just released a new PPP Knowledge Lab.  This is a new open access resource that captures international expertise and best practices on PPP project implementation.

The Lab has a dedicated section for municipal PPPs, where there is sector specific information and case studies from successful municipal PPPs in developing countries.

Users can take a look at typical municipal PPP projects in areas such as public lighting, district heating & cooling, urban transport or water and sanitation.  In addition, the Lab has resources on key issue areas such as project pooling, credit ratings and access to sources of local finance.

The Lab works well in connection with the Public-Private Infrastructure Resource Center (PPRIC), which also has a wealth of sector & project specific information on municipal PPPs.

  • It is important that municipalities should apply PPPs to enhance the revenues of cities and to improve the economic environment of cities.
