Dear Collaboration for Development Users,

Our beloved Collaboration for Development (C4D) is scheduled to be upgraded to the new version of the software this week: expect some major changes and a number of exciting new features!

When?

The Collaboration for Development platform, will be upgraded to Jive Ver. 7.0.3.1 on the 19th of February 2015. The system will be unavailable for an estimated 6 to 7 hours, starting from 4:00PM EST on February 19th. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Why?

We know that a good platform is not enough to make collaboration and communities of practice really successful, but we think that it definitely helps! This upgrade will hopefully improve your experience and facilitate your engagement in the communities that matter to you, in addition to solving a number of bugs: this is why we are upgrading C4D to what we think is the most advanced and cutting edge business social collaboration software out there.

What’s New?

These are just a couple of new features we are excited about:

  • New simplified theme and new homepage - We thought that a leaner theme and a Left Side Navigation right on the homepage would definitely make things easier, both for group owners and general users. To know more about Activity, Inbox and Actions, take a look at these two tip sheets: Activity and Custom Streams, Inbox and Actions.
  • Improved Status Update feature - Sharing quickly thoughts and links is now even easier through Status Updates within a group or at the platforms level: links will also create a nice preview of what you are sharing. To learn more about Status Updates click here.
  • Bugs fixed - This upgrade will fix a number of bugs, such as: issues with the CAPTCHA during registration of new members to the platform, viewing and resending open invitations, uploading images into the Formatted Text widget on group homepages, deep links issues (landing on the correct link after log in).
