Objectives: The event is designed to further learning and foster dialogue among CTF countries on successes and lessons learned related to the implementation of CTF investment plans and projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable transport. The event will provide an overview of CTF operations during the past decade, results on the ground, gender considerations, and evaluation and learning.

14:00 – 14:30 Reflections on the CTF
A long-time CTF national focal point and Trust Fund Committee member will reflect on the making of the CTF, its ten years of experience, and the future role of the CTF in the climate finance architecture.
14:30 – 15:15 State of play of the CTF
Continuing from the previous session on CTF’s last decade, this session will cover the state of play of CTF, including an overview of the implementation of investment plans and projects; CTF procedures, programming and operations; and portfolio overview.
15:15 – 15:30 Coffee Break
15:30 – 16:20 CTF Country Experiences
CTF focal points will share their experiences, achievements, and challenges in implementing CTF investment plans and projects.

16:20 – 16:40 CTF Knowledge and Learning
This session will feature the “Art of Knowledge Exchange: A Results-Focused Planning Guide for Climate Change Practitioners”. It offers a practical step-by-step framework with illustrative examples from the CTF on how to design, implement, and monitor knowledge exchange.
16:40 – 17:20 Gender Integration in Large-Scale Renewable Energy Infrastructure
Designing for gender equality outcomes in large-scale renewable energy infrastructure requires attention to social inclusion across project goals, processes, and results. This session will share lessons from CTF operations regarding gender good practices related to e.g., employment, use of subsidies, and targeted service delivery. The session will end with a Q&A segment.
