Innovations in solar powered water pumps have been used successfully in irrigation as well as rural and urban water supply. Following the 80% price reduction of solar over the last 7 years, new opportunities have emerged.  How can these opportunities be applied to the water sector? Join Guido Agostinelli (Senior Industry Specialist, IFC) and Eric Macias (Chief Operating Officer, Lorentz USA, one of the leading solar pump manufacturers) for a discussion on “Mainstreaming Solar Photovoltaic Pumping”

The session will be chaired and moderated by Jyoti Shukla, Senior Manager of the Water Global Practice Water and Sanitation Program (WSP). Following the presentation, a panel discussion will highlight the key lessons from the panelists’ experiences with solar water pumps.
