This presentation explores the opportunities, challenges and emerging solutions to create value through transit oriented development and mass transit systems and to capture such value to support transit development, in a Chinese context. It illustrates the overall TOD/LVC program undertaken in the context of TransFORM, the collaborative solution platform convened by the Government of China, through its Ministry of Transport, and the World Bank to make comprehensive transport safer, cleaner and more affordable for development in China, while sharing the experience of China with other countries.
