Hosted by the World Bank’s South Asia Regional Gender Innovation Lab (SAR GIL), WEESA's mission is to promote and facilitate regional exchange, dialogue, and capacity building on women’s economic empowerment (WEE). WEESA aims to strengthen linkages between evidence and action by creating opportunities for knowledge-sharing and networking. Our community of practice (CoP), includes researchers, decision-makers, policymakers, and development practitioners working outside and within the World Bank. The objective is to promote evidence-based research and solutions for accelerating WEE and gender equality in South Asia.
