To strengthen the capacity of the poor to improve their livelihood options through access to social and productive infrastructure using participatory approaches in the selected southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. i.e. Dera Ismail Khan (DIK), Tank and Lakki Marwat that are adversely affected by the crisis. The development objective of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Southern Areas Development Project for Pakistan to strengthen the capacity of the poor to improve their livelihood options through access to social and productive infrastructure using participatory approaches in the selected districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. This restructuring requires an additional grant of 4 million US dollars to enable the project to respond to the priority needs of the local communities including temporarily displaced persons in the existing project areas
