Chapter five of this edited volume, Improving Gender Equality with Digitalization, attempts to find empirical relationships between digitalization and gender outcomes, particularly as it relates to the woeful female employment in South Asia. Increasing the use of digital finance is shown to have strong and positive correlations with female labor force participation.
