The prevalence of patriarchal systems in many parts of South Asia and the Hindu Kush Himalaya exacerbates capacity to cope with and adapt to climate change, resulting in increased food insecurity, poverty, and social and gender inequalities. This report assesses the state of gender equality and climate change in three climate-affected sectors: agriculture, water, and energy (with a focus on renewable energy) across all 10 countries in South Asia and the Hindu Kush Himalayan region. Read more.
