Focusing on women’s experiences in Pakistan’s Upper Indus Basin, this qualitative study documents climate-induced threats to livelihoods and how women adapt to climate extremes. Women, particularly during disasters, face increased vulnerability, with household burdens doubling compared to men’s. Despite challenges, women build resilience through hard work and diversifying livelihoods, underscoring the importance of gender-sensitive and region-specific policies as climate change intensifies.
