Alan David Lee I work on energy investments and analysis in Myanmar and Bangladesh, and climate change. I am especialy interested in the political economic of energy pricing reforms and decarbonization. My experience includes policy and programs at local, national and international level in Australia from 2005-10, China and Mongolia 2010-2013, and since Sep 2013 for the World Bank. Under the Young Professionals program, my first 12 month assignment at the Bank was in the South Asia Disaster Risk and Climate Change unit. I joined the Energy & Extractives Global Practice (East Asia and Pacific region) in Sep 2014. I have a Masters of Studies degree from the Australian National University, mostly in economics plus units in environmental law, climate science and finance. I hold Bachelor degrees from the University of Melbourne in environmental studies, linguistics and music.

Due to my background in studying a master programme in Sustainable Energy Systems, I always wanted to contribute to make the world a better place, if you wanna say it like that. Annette Scarpitta Annette Scarpitta has worked with Sub-Saharan African education and gender-integration programs for more than 10 years. Priding herself on impacting vulnerable communities, she believes that increased economic growth must include developing and growing capacities of everyone - particularly women and girls. She is Founder and Director of Rwenena Kids of Hero Women Rising. Serving a remote village in South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwenena Kids provides education to vulnerable children. The program includes literacy training for mothers and leadership training for adolescents and young women, as well as community sensitization for all. Ms. Scarpitta contributes to gender-integration program design and develops informed theories of change for sustainable impact. She provides consulting services for organizations, including cross-cultural communications facilitation to avoid costly missteps.
