    Giulia, Thanks for posting.  The Rockefeller Foundation, and its 100 Most Resilient Cities initiative provide a big boost preparing cities and their citizens against shocks. 

     

    During this critical moment, when the world is still just past the starting gate for the Sustainable Development Goal Challenge (SDGs), citizen engagement in disaster risk reduction discussions is critical to reducing the effects from natural events. 

     

    The UN Thematic Debates  on the SDG implementation in April 2016, as well as the COP21 follow-up activities in New York will provide further opportunities for cities and countries to move beyond words into actions
