FORMAL GRIEVANCE REDRESS MECHANISM (GRM)

A formal grievance redress mechanism (GRM) is a system by which queries or clarifications about the project are responded to, problems with implementation are resolved, and complaints and grievances are addressed efficiently and effectively. The structure that the GRM ultimately takes will depend on the available resources and nuances of the operating environment such as the capacity of civil society, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to play watchdog roles, technological constraints, and cultural attitudes toward lodging complaints.
