Achieving Quality

    Target Audience

    The Achieving Quality course is designed for business owners, managers, and quality personnel of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) who want to use quality as a ‘strategic weapon’ for their companies to survive, compete, and grow. The course is applicable to those who are responsible for implementing quality in their companies. Other staff is also encouraged to attend the course for better contribution to their company’s quality activities.


    Course Objectives
    After attending this course, participants are expected to be able to:
    • Explain the four basic principles of a Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9000.
    • Describe the stages of implementing a QMS.
    • Carry out simple statistical and probability calculations to support QM.
    • Demonstrate how the techniques of SPC (Statistical Process Control) can be usefully applied to work processes.
    • Describe the five basic statistical tools for QMS and explain how to use them to control quality.
