Video: TOD Transforming China's Cities: GEF China Sustainable Cities Integrated Approach Pilot

The China Sustainable Cities Integrated Approach Pilot Project, funded by a Global Environment Facility grant of $32.73 million, supports transit-oriented development (TOD) in China. The project assists seven major Chinese cities -- Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Ningbo, Nanchang, Guiyang, and Shenzhen -- to develop and implement strategies for TOD, an urban planning concept that integrates land use and transit. It also supports the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to create a national TOD platform to help guide cities and strengthen their ability to develop relevant guidelines and policies.
