The first International Workshop on Food Loss and Food Waste, hosted by the World Bank, The Korean Green Growth Trust Fund and the Commission for Environmental Cooperation, will bring together experts from government, civil society, the private sector, cutting-edge food bank operators, and nongovernmental organizations to discuss the key challenges and opportunities to address the growing problem of food loss and waste. In particular, this event will provide an opportunity to share experiences and best practices related to emerging issues.

 

Through 3 days of presentations and discussions, attendees will have the opportunity to identify priorities and actions to move the food waste reduction and recovery agenda forward in the Americas and beyond.
