Hi everyone,

Greetings from Tokyo! I had a chance to work with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and Clean Air Asia (CAA) to create an on-demand e-learning training modules on Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) in the Transport Sector. The workshop was designed to enhance capacities to estimate GHG emissions from the transport sector. Because the topic is highly relevant to this Urban Transport CoP, let me share the link with you here: http://www.iges.or.jp/en/integrated-policy/cities/mrv_elearning.html

IGES is a research institute based in Hayama, Japan, conducting strategic research for environmental measures and results-based innovative policy development for realising sustainable development both in the Asia-Pacific region and globally. CAA (established in 2001 as the premier air quality network for Asia by the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, and USAID) is a non-profit organization based in Manila, Philippines, promoting better air quality and livable cities by translating knowledge to policies and actions that reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from transport, energy and other sectors, partnering with various partners and organization.
At the CAA homepage, there is an interesting feature I enjoyed. You can see the air quality of your city by the length of your nose hair and you can style your nose hair with your own picture: http://cleanairasia.org/hairynose/map

I hope these links are both useful and fun for the Urban Transport community members!
