    Encouraging Renewable Energy Development: A Handbook for Internation Energy Regulators - Updated

      The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is pleased to announce an update to Encouraging Renewable Energy Development: A Handbook for International Energy Regulators.


      Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), this Handbook is designed as a resource for energy sector regulators and policymakers facing new and exciting challenges presented by renewable energy.


      The new case studies included in 2014 focus on

      • Renewable Energy Auctions (Peru)
      • Small Power Purchase Agreements (Tanzania)
      • Licensing and Interconnection (The Gambia)


      Additionally, the re-released Renewable Energy Handbook includes updates on

      • Distributed Generation in Guatemala
      • Bringing Renewable Energy to Market in Jordan
      • The New Feed-in Tariff in the Philippines


      The Handbook and the new case studies are available (in English, Spanish and French) through NARUC International Department’s website at: www.naruc.org/USAID/REHandbook
