Basically, during campaign and rallies the candidates for an election sweet tongue the electorate that their administration will be committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government. Their unending promises to work together with the masses by first declaring their asset, left their office door open for the people to come at anytime to discuss their challenges and at the end of the day the people resolved to faith without using their power as electorate to question their leaders. However, it is the responsibilities of the governments to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation and collaboration. But when the people fails to checkmates or hold their leaders accountable,  their leaders also pretend as if all is well. Educating the masses about their political rights to information on how the government business is being run is much needed, i strongly believe that openness will strengthen democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in government.
