    Fiscal Policy, Inequality and the Ethnic Divide in Guatemala

      Guatemala is among the most unequal countries and has one of the highest poverty rates in Latin America. The indigenous population is more than twice as likely of being poor than the nonindigenous group. This study examines the impact of taxes and social spending on income inequality and poverty.
