An e-Government Procurement is the collaborative use of information and communications technologies by government agencies, bidding community, regulatory, oversight agencies, other supporting service providers, and civil society in conducting ethical procurement activities of the government procurement process cycle for the procurement of goods, works and service, and management of contracts ensuring good governance and value-for-money in public procurement, and contributing to the socioeconomic development of country (Shakya, 2015).
Presently, most of the governments around the world are implementing e-government procurement (e-GP) systems as a tool for public procurement reform for better governance in the public procurement sector. The implementation of e-procurement has been accepted as one of the most promising and feasible options for governments in delivering enhanced governance in the acquisition of goods, works, and services for the public sector. The outcome of public procurement reforms being carried out in most developing countries is negligible and has not provided significant support for good governance in the procurement sector despite having sound objectives with the initiatives. An e-GP system significantly enables and enhances good governance in the public procurement sector.
ObjectiveThis book aims to be an essential reference source, building on the available literature in the field of e-Government Procurement (e-GP) around the globe and providing for further research opportunities. It is hoped that this text will provide the resources necessary for policy makers, practitioners, development agencies, and technology developers to adopt and implement e-Procurement platforms contributing towards good governance.

Submission ProcedureResearchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before January 30, 2016, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by February 15, 2016 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by May 30, 2016, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at http://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.
Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Trust in Knowledge Management and Systems in Organizations. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
