  • My name is Bruce Summers, I have worked on Community of Practice (CoP) Strengthening for the World Bank Group for the past 9 years. I am based in the United States and live near Washington, DC. I became interested in CoPs in the late 1990s and supported a large Community of 1,000 Directors and Chairs of Volunteers for the American Red Cross, supporting the engagement of over 1 million volunteers annualy in 700 affiliates. At the World Bank I was part of the CoP Central - Ecosysterm Support team - providing Community Management Traning, Coaching and Business Support to a network of 350 Bank hosted or co-hosted CoPs. I am naturally curious, so I look forward to exchanging CoP tips, tools, and tactics.
