This is the post-conference report of “The Role of Citizens in Service Delivery and Building State Legitimacy in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations,” a conference organized by the World Bank and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy on Monday, December 5, 2016, in conjunction with the 2016 GSURR Forum.

  • The conference was timely and important bringing to bear new resources to assist more than 60+ million people who can NOT sleep in their own beds, in their own houses.  Bringing new players to the table is vital!!!  I was very pleased to go through all of the documentation provided on this platform in this group.  As a retired UNHCR professional officer, I can attest that refugees and IDPs must be challenged to, AND ALLOWED to participate in achieving 'durable solutions'. I urge members to give these documents wide distribution.
