The objective of the event is to showcase FAO hosted geodata platforms for monitoring water and land use, and climate-related indicators. The session will zoom in on the following tools: (1) Earth Map tool that supports countries and farmers to monitor their land through multi-temporal and multi-parameter environmental and climate analysis, (2) Adaptation, Biodiversity and Carbon Mapping Tool (ABC-Map) which is a new geospatial app based on Google Earth Engine (GEE) that holistically assesses the environmental impact of National Policies and Plans and investments in the agriculture forestry and other land use sector; (3) WaPOR portal supports monitoring and reporting on agriculture water productivity over Africa and the Near East and provides open access to the water productivity database and its thousands of underlying map layers. It allows for direct data queries, time series analyses, area statistics and data download of key variables associated to water and land productivity assessments; (4) Hand-in-Hand platform which integrates data on soil, land, water, climate, fisheries, livestock, crops, forestry, trade, social and economics.
