This webinar will feature innovative business models that leverage the power of three distinct diaspora groups to expand access to clean energy in Haiti, India and Kenya. Representatives from Sogexpress, Haiti's leading money transfer organization, Milaap, one of India's leading crowdfunding platforms for personal and social causes, and MamaMikes, a ground-breaking e-commerce store catering to Kenyans inside and outside of Kenya, will discuss how they use business platforms to allow diaspora members to purchase solar lanterns and clean cookstoves for their friends and family members abroad. Short presentations will be followed by ample time for questions.

This webinar is organized by Arc Finance under the USAID-funded Renewable Energy Microfinance and Microenterprise Program as part of the Global Diaspora Week (GDW). GDW is a celebration of diaspora communities and their contributions to global development. GDW creates awareness and enables collaboration and learning amongst diaspora communities, government agencies and the private sector in different regions around the world.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
