The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation (IPEEC), is hosting a no-cost, webinar-based training on how energy efficiency can address barriers to energy access, which is one of the world’s major challenges. According to the World Bank, about 1.2 billion people do not have access to electricity and 2.8 billion rely on biomass for cooking and heating.
This webinar will focus on the role energy efficiency can play in improving energy access. Panelists will discuss the implementation and results of national policies in Mexico, as well as highlights from projects implemented by the World Bank and the United Nations’ Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative, which aims to make sustainable energy for all a reality by 2030.
Panelists
Sergio Segura and Eduardo Ramos, Mexico’s Commission for Efficient Energy Use (CONUEE)
