The Energy Diaries: How the Rural Poor Buy, Use and Think About Energy

August 24, 2016

3 pm – 5 pm

Sovereign Room, Le Méridien, New Delhi

This event, organized by Arc Finance under the USAID-funded Renewable Energy Microfinance and Microenterprise Program (REMMP), presents the findings from the innovative Energy Diaries project, which analyzed energy usage, spending, access and decision-making at the household level in three different villages in India. Based on analysis of thousands of data points collected over six months, the Energy Diaries can provide valuable insights into how the energy portfolios of the poor are constructed, and how access to renewable energy impacts the lives and livelihoods of the rural poor, especially women.

This event is free and open to all. To attend, please register in advance at http://bit.ly/EnergyDiaries.
