Since December 2019, over 240 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and about 5 million deaths have been reported globally. The pandemic has challenged health systems around the world, with the concurrent tasks of reducing transmission, managing cases, and minimizing disruptions to access to and quality of essential health services. To meet these demands, authorities have revised budgetary allocations for health, modified purchasing arrangements, and implemented measures to adapt service delivery. A global Collectivity project has convened experts from eight countries to assess adjustments in purchasing arrangements during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This webinar will review the implications of adjustments in purchasing arrangements in Armenia, Romania, and Ukraine for the COVID-19 response, health systems resilience, and the Universal Health Coverage agenda. See attachment for list of panelists.
