PEFA Knowledge Network
  • Group description is the following: PEFA is a partnership program, initiated and managed by nine international development partners: the European Commission, International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Agency (AFD), Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, and the UK's Department for International Development, The Ministry of Finance of The Slovak Republic, The Ministry of Finance of the Grand-Duchy of Luxemburg. Members of these institutions are represented in the PEFA Steering Committee.
  • The PEFA and Gender Responsive Public Financial Management Knowledge Network brings together practitioners and researchers to discuss the use of PEFA for collecting information on gender responsive public financial management tools and techniques. The Knowledge Networks aims to contribute to international discussions on linking the achievement of gender equality and women’s empowerment with adequate and appropriate financing.
  • The PEFA and Public Financial Management Reform Knowledge Network focuses on using the findings of PEFA reports to understand countries’ public financial management strengths and weaknesses and support PFM reform dialogue, subsequent development reform initiatives and/or action plans, and reform implementation monitoring.
  • The PEFA at the Subnational Level Knowledge Network focuses on the use of PEFA to assess public financial management performance at different subnational government levels, the use of PEFA reports for PFM reform at the subnational level, and the use of PEFA as an input to discussions on fiscal decentralization reform and improving service delivery.
