Introduction
The Technical Deep Dive (TDD) is a knowledge series bringing together experts and practitioners to share good practice and experience on specific technical subjects on sustainable development. The TDD is jointly organized by the World Bank Disaster Risk Management Hub, Tokyo and the Tokyo Development Learning Center, in cooperation with the Government of Japan, including the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The Program has also benefitted greatly from consultation, coordination, and participation of:

The TDD Program has been developed on the basis of the World Bank DRM Hub’s Knowledge Program on Hydromet Services, particularly its Knowledge Product 2016 report “Modernization of Japan’s Hydromet Services: A Report on Lessons Learned for Disaster Risk Management”.
