Description: Cheonggyecheon was a major stream that had been running through Seoul’s downtown area long before the city was designated as the capital of Joseon Dynasty. The history of Cheonggyecheon, which has run alongside the history of the city, is on display at the Permanent Exhibition Gallery of Gheong Gye Cheon Museum. The first section of the exhibition concerns the history of Cheonggyecheon before it was covered up. Then visitors are led through the space where Gwangtong Bridge, which had been buried underground until the restoration, is recreated to learn about the restoration project. The exhibition will also help people gain a better understanding of how the restoration project has changed and will change the surrounding areas and aesthetic value of the city as well as what part Cheonggyecheon has played in people’s lives since the Joseon period. Visitors will also be able to find out about the future role that Cheonggyecheon is destined to play as Seoul makes a big leap forward to become an environment-friendly city.

Description: Haneul Park (Sky Park), located within the World Cup Stadium Park, is a grassland park that was formed where the second site of the Nanjido Landfill once stood. As it was once a landfill and the soil especially poor, the Haneul Park wasteland recovery project demonstrates how nature can flourish out of what was once barren land. Since the year 2000, around 30,000 butterflies have been released on Nanjido Island, which are met with scenic views of Seoul in every direction with Bukhansan Mountain to the is located in the middle of Haneul Park. At Haneul Park, visitors north, Namsan Mountain and the 63 Building to the east, Han River to the south and Haengjusanseon Fortress to the west. These spectacular sights can be fully enjoyed from the observation platform. The park also offers benches and other areas for visitors to take a short rest and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Haneul Park.

Description: DMC stands for Digital Media City, a state-of-the-art digital media entertainment (M&E) cluster, which is located in Sangam-dong over the 569,925 . (172,000 pyeong area). Seoul City plans to complete its construction by 2015. Sangam is considered a gateway to the northwestern region of Seoul. The DMC will greatly contribute to Korea's positioning in the knowledge-based market of the 21st century through its advanced IT, human resources and entertainment capabilities, already demonstrated through a global phenomenon called Korean Wave. The DMC will be a core element of the new Sangam Millennium City Plan along with the World Cup Stadium, World Cup Park and Eco Village.
