About the webinar

In many countries, financial cooperative institutions (CFIs) have set up apex organizations, mostly in the form of federations and confederations as a means to overcome the constraints that arise from their small size and local nature. These apex organizations provide a range of services in very different areas, that may include back-office services, information technology, internal control and audit, safety nets, etc. and they can also play a role in the supervision of their affiliates in coordination with the supervisory authorities. This webinar will take a closer look at the role that these entities can play, as well as at the conditions for their establishment and growth in time and the opportunities they generate for a dynamic development of CFIs in a changing world.
