Road Project - The project is located at the border between Belarus and Lithuania.

  • Freight: 7.700 tonnes/day
  • Passengers: 3.100 cars/day
Technical description

The project provides for the reconstruction of the existing and creating the additional infrastructure of the border checkpoint "Kamenny Log" (Belarusian-Lithuanian border), including the X-ray scanning system for heavy haulers. The project is of high importance for the Republic of Belarus and is included into the Comprehensive Program for Infrastructure Development of road Crossing Points at the State Border of the Republic of Belarus 2011-2015, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus №152 dated 08.02.2011.

Investment amount

The project is evaluated at 30 mln. EUR 

Expected impacts on transport, environment, social, other

The main objective of the project is facilitation of border crossing along the Trans-European Transport connection between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Lithuania. The project will have positive impact on the level of social and economic integration in the region, will eliminate administrative, institutional and infrastructure barriers to free movement of individuals, goods and vehicles across the border.
