2013-20 - Georgia, East-West Highway (E60 Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze): Section Chumateleti - Argveta
Road project. The East-West Highway is the main corridor for transit through Georgia and is located on Transport Corridor Europe, Caucasus, Asia (TRACECA).

  • Passengers: 9.500 cars/day
Technical description
Road section Chumateleti to Argveta. This is a complex project along a difficult terrain from a geological and geotechnical point of view. Project is a subsection of E60 Highway. Length 53 km (including 40 tunnels (22300 m) and 85 bridges (8000 m)). Neighboring sections Argveta - Kutaisi (four lanes) is currently being upgraded and section Zemo-Osiauri - Chumateleti (four lanes) is under bidding.

Investment amount
The estimated project cost is 820 mln USD.
Implementation schedule
Project consist of four sub sections: F1, F2, F3, F4

F1 - 11.148 km

F2 - 15.435 km

F3 - 10.527 km

F4 - 15.797 km

The implementation is planned for 2017-2020.

Status
The feasibility study has been completed in 2015.

Detailed design will start in 2016.
