Happy New Year and Green Finance

Dear all,

excited to start this new year with all of you !

Olha, Carolin, Bruce and I have been working on some next steps and support to you (this community) which include:

  • We decoupled the "resources" from the "news&discussions" to give you the opportunity to share and discuss useful resources on green finance, separate from the news stream. We hope this will lead to a joint compilation of a wealth of valuable knowledge resources on Green Finance, both for beginners and for pros among us. :-D
This might include recent reports, useful websites, newsletters, or training opportunities, or many other resources that you would come across.
  • If you have any question on the C4D platform, its functionalities, and how to use it, please get in touch with us - we can organise smaller group sessions to familiarise you with the platform.
  • We have prepared a survey which we will soon circulate among all members, both here and on LinkedIn. It would be great if you could fill it in to provide us more insight about the untapped opportunities that lie within our community. For those of you who are registered in both forums - we need your feedback only once. You'll hear from us on the survey soon.

My personal interest this year will be understanding the finance of circular economy models and of more sustainable supply chains. I noticed despite the availability of impact finance, there is a finance gap for when it comes to creating a pipeline of bankable projects. I am sure some of you have come across similar challenges. What are your tips, or how did you bridge that gap? I'm particularly looking into financing technology to turn low value plastics into fuel or naphta (pyrolysis) and syngas (plasma gasification).

Thanks for any inputs on the way !

I wish you a successful 2018 and hope to hear from many of you.

Best wishes,

Karin
