Anton van Elteren | Anton van Elteren is a Senior Environmental & Social Officer with FMO since 2001. Implementing FMO's sustainability policies (based on IFC Performance Standards) both internally and with clients worldwide are part of this. Currently working in sectors like Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Mining, he has provided sustainability guidance and training to numerous FMO clients all over the world, including financial institutions. Waste management is one of his dedicated focus sectors. Summarizing, Anton's experience into sustainable finance reaches from microfinance to Equator Principles. Being a biologist by origin, prior to working for FMO he has worked for over 15 years as an environmental consultant, with assignments all over the world. Well-cherished memories are kept from longer-term working relationships with sustainability professionals on projects in NW Ethiopia, the North-Western Frontier Province in Pakistan, the Peruvian rainforest and Siberia (yes, North of the Arctic!) to name a few. |

Darnley Howard | Darnley Howard is a management and business development consultant with over 15 years of experience in assisting small businesses, and in economic development. He holds a B.S. in finance and multinational enterprise from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in finance and international business from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. Mr. Howard has worked in financial analysis and international treasury at several major corporations including Xerox, Digital Equipment, and Abt Associates. For the past fourteen years Mr. Howard has been president and principal consultant of Advansa International, a consulting firm which he founded. In that capacity, he has prepared business plans and provided advisory services to emerging businesses throughout greater Boston. Mr. Howard has also been a consultant on international development projects and private equity transactions in Ghana and other emerging markets.
