On November 14th, the Ministry of Energy and Electricity in Yemen, in collaboration with RENEW MENA organized and delivered a 2 hour webinar to support women engineers in Aden by introducing them to different opportunities that currently exist through the different renewable energy projects being implemented.
As the ministry’s Gender Focal Point, it was an honor to organize and facilitate the webinar. It was truly an amazing experience in every sense. It was a remarkable and impactful seminar, and we all benefited greatly from it.
The seminar provided an excellent opportunity to enhance the skills of female engineers and offered a platform to discuss issues related to renewable energy and the vital role women play in this field. One of the key points I’d like to share with you is that the participants expressed their great satisfaction with the seminar and are looking forward to future similar activities. This motivates us to continue organizing more seminars and activities that enrich their knowledge and support their professional journeys.
We look to the future with ambitious steps and, God willing, aim to hold many seminars and events that address the needs of women engineers and help them grow and develop.
Personally, this experience was incredibly special for me. I learned a lot from this organizational journey, and I feel proud of what we have achieved as members of RENEW MENA.
Upwards and onwards!
