RENEW MENA is a regional network that brings together a wide range of stakeholders in the energy sector, including MENA energy-sector utilities and public-sector agencies, technical universities, private-sector companies, professional and industry associations, and civil society organizations. Partnerships are a central ingredient to the RENEW MENA Network. We have three types of Partnerships:
- Institutional Partners (Public energy sector companies, including utilities, and government agencies such as regulatory authorities or state-owned enterprises
- Strategic Partners (Technical universities, private-sector companies, professional associations, regional/global networks and civil society organizations)
- Individual Members (Women professionals in MENA energy sector, women students in STEM education, and other individuals who are interested in energy, gender, STEM education, and energy sector workforce issues.)
The RENEW Process of Building Partnerships
- RENEW approaches institutional and strategic partners
- Partners identify focal points
- RENEW works with partners to identify priorities and activities
- Partner endorses list of activities
We do outreach via various tools, our network, and invite interested individuals to join our (private) LinkedIn group. Individuals sign onto the network and become members, at no cost. (Staff of partner institutions are also welcome to join!) Members benefit from our curated activities, spread the word and expand their network opportunities.
RENEW MENA has 190+ individual members to date – and counting!
Becoming a Partner: Planning Activities
We ask our Partners to share a list of activities that will support RENEW MENA’s second objective: “Encourage better workplace conditions for women in both the private and public sectors”. We provide Partners with a template for planned activities. In turn, we will disseminate Partner's achievements and insights with all RENEW MENA Partners and stakeholders; and share aggregate information on the activities and progress of RENEW MENA Partners.
