Amid the global economic fallout triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, South Asia will likely experience its worst economic performance in the last 40 years, with temporary contractions in all eight countries. Our latest estimates show that regional growth will fall to a range between 1.8 and 2.8 percent in 2020, down from a 6.3 percent growth projected six months ago.
The COVID-19 response C4D group aims to provide a collaborative platform for the sharing of data, analytics and resources on impacts, responses, and learnings related to agriculture, nutritional security, food systems, and rural livelihoods.
