In 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began offering IT infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services -- now commonly known as cloud computing. One of the key benefits of cloud computing is the opportunity to replace up-front capital infrastructure expenses with low variable costs that scale with businesses. Today, AWS provides a reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world.

Join us for the Amazon Web Services and the World Bank discussion and learn what they are doing in the Smart Cities Realm, as well as in response to COVID-19.  AWS public sector team will share their focus on Smart Cities in terms of vision, technologies, and use cases as well as work with specific customers that leverage AWS services to address growing challenges in managing the complexity and aspirations of cities.
