October 12, 2022 | 8:00 AM |

RECORDING IS AVAILABLE HERE.

Since 2018, Global Smart City Partnership Program (GSCP) has supported the World Bank Group (WBG) teams in meeting their clients’ demands for smart city development through policy engagement, technical assistance and investments. This session tells the story of four TTLs reflecting on how smart city-related demands arose in their engagement and what outcomes and lessons they learned from applying smart technologies to city development. TTLs will share their experiences with GSCP support and insights into adopting a smart approach to city development.

The session will also discuss how much of their experiences can be replicated and what factors other teams may consider in supporting the clients’ ambition in using smart technologies for more efficient city planning and service delivery. Following case studies will be featured:

•    Using Digital Twin and Three-Dimensional Cadaster for Smart Land and Infrastructure Management in Indonesia
•    Building Capacity and Providing Support to Operationalize the Regional Digital Program in Central Asia-South Asia
•    Promoting Smart and Green Mobility through a Funding Program for Municipalities in Serbia
•    Strengthening Bangladesh’s Digital Infrastructure and Capacity to Build Back Better after the Pandemic
