Swiss Smart Cities Hub, Deloitte, Swisscom and Risk Reduction Foundation are developing a Program “Smart Financing for Smart Cities”. City officials, residents and  investment partners will benefit from «Smart city in a smartphone» applications that both improve efficiency of public services and provide transparency to applying public and private investments to mutually agreed priority tasks.

The Parties also intend to expand the Swiss Smart Cities Solutions to other countries and facilitate the transfer to Smart Cities in emerging economies Swiss innovative financial and business solutions. Swisscom has developed an innovative SaaS cloud-based technology platform for smart cities infrastructure planning and disaster risk reduction. Using the AI algorithms to analyze real time and historical data, this technology predicts patterns and events, which helps municipalities make better public infrastructure funding decisions. Through the proposed Program, Swisscom could transfer this innovative solution to the big cities in countries in transition and other emerging economies, suffering from heavy urbanization problems.

World Bank Group and other IFIs are welcome to participate, together with their clients from the emerging economies, in study tours and workshops in those Swiss cities that already benefited from the applications of Swisscom Mobility Insights.
