Smart Cities and Sustainable Development

Overview:

This one-day workshop is jointly hosted by the Regional Science Academy (RSA) and the Smart Cities KSB at the World Bank. Professor Ed Glaeser (Harvard Univ.), distinguished RSA scholars and leading practitioners will present and discuss (i) smart cities and sustainable development, (ii) smart city perspectives from the developed, and (iii) smart city applications in developing countries. Professor Ed Glaeser will give a keynote presentation and discuss with panels on smart cities. The workshop aims to promote smart city projects at the World Bank and help Bank staff and clients better understand the concept of smart cities and its cutting-edge applications.
