Have you introduced yourself?

One of the key goals of the Health Systems HNP Flagship Community of Practice (Flagship CoP) is to strengthen connections between members.

Call to Action:

  • If you have not already done so, then please click the "Join" button on the "About" tab, complete your registration with "Collaboration for Delopment" (C4D) and then "Introduce yourself to the Group". [Download the Quick Start Guide if you need help].
  • Once you have "Joined" as a member of the (Flagship CoP) and you are "Logged into C4D" you are invited and encouraged to "Introduce yourself to other members"
  • List your name, location (city/town and country) and some of your background on why you are interested in Health Systems and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) or other Health Systems topics.  You may also want to list what you can share and what you hope ot learn from your peers and othe members of the Flagship Community.

For the 2021 Global Health Systems Flagship Course I was the facilitation coach for the Presentation Teams as we planned and delivered our first all virtual Health Systems Flagship Course to over 300 participants from 27 different countries. I can share Flagship content, virtual facilitation, collaboration and community of practice, also volunteer engagement tools and tactics.  I look forward to learning from community members and to bridging people and resources together to strengthen connectivity, the health system, and to help countries achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) objectives. Dear Flagship participants - First of all, a big thanks to Bruce for setting this site up for us. It's the first time we've had this and it means that we now have a forum for continuing the conversation we started with so many people in June of this year during our first virtual Flagship course.

My name is Sarah Alkenbrack and I'm a Senior Health Economist working at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where I live with my husband and three children. I am originally from Ontario, Canada. My expertise is in health financing and I've spent a lot of my career working at the intersection of health systems and donor-funded programs, most recently with Gavi and now working on COVAX. I am also on the faculty of the Flagship course and am very interested in finding ways for the Bank to better facilitate peer-to-peer learning between countries. I am also interested in finding ways to improve aid effectiveness and this starts with centering the conversation around country priorities. We look forward to hearing from you about what types of support the Bank can offer as you embark on health systems reforms in your countries. Please let us know how we can support you through the delivery of courses, compilation of good practices, or by connecting you to experts.
