Chioma Ome is the Country Director of Solar Sister Nigeria. As a Climate Change and Sustainability expert with over 12 years of experience. she has led the empowerment over 4,000 women entrepreneurs across 30 states in Nigeria, driving the distribution of over 400,000 clean energy solutions and mitigating approximately 158,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions. Chioma's leadership and active participation in the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN), the Nigerian Alliance for Clean Cooking (NACC) and Global Women in Energy Transition (GWNET), has been instrumental in advancing gender inclusion in climate action, developing key frameworks, policies and capacity development actions for integrating gender into climate solutions. Her work has significantly contributed to building climate-resilient communities and promoting sustainable development across Sub-Saharan Africa. |
