Fowzia Hassan
Senior Energy Specialist, World Bank
 

Fowzia Hassan, has worked in the World Bank for more than 23 years.  She has worked in South Asia, East Asia and the Pacific Islands, Middle East and North Africa and Latin America Regions. In her capacity as the gender coordinator and task team leader, she has designed many energy projects revolving around gender prosperity and inclusion within the sector and creating employment, including in fragile and conflict countries. She is now leading the gender team in Africa Energy unit, ensuring to create and foster sustainable economic opportunities for women in STEM, through the projects being prepared.  Fowzia is a Pakistani National and holds a BA degree in Economics and an MBA from Wales University.   

 

Faiza Yousuf
Women in Tech PK
Faiza is a technologist and a serial entrepreneur with a decade long experience in building products and teams. She is the founder of #WomenInTechPK (a women-only community) and runs a consulting company with a focus on helping small businesses to embrace technology. These days, she is busy in co-running a free coding boot camp called CodeGirls, a Blockchain training program for women programmers and analysts and consulting for a couple of local and international clients on Requirement Engineering, Team Management, and Agile Transformation.

 

Engr. Adil Aun
Infrastructure Development Authority of Punjab (IDAP), Pakistan
Adil is a Project Management expert with over 8 years of private and public sector construction industry experience in multiple countries; currently working at the Infrastructure Development Authority of Punjab (IDAP) as Manager Projects, and Director of Business Relations at SMA Estimating LLC. 

 

Nameerah Hameed
Founder, Women In Energy (WIE), Pakistan

Nameerah Hameed is the Founder of Women In Energy Pakistan (WIE), a professional network for women in energy, climate, and the broader power sector with a reach of around 5000 female professionals and a presence across all major cities of Pakistan. Through WIE, Nameerah works to build a strong community of women and foster a culture of career and leadership development. With over seven years of experience, Nameerah works in the nexus of energy, policy and governance in London, UK. She formerly served as the Policy Specialist in the Government of Punjab working on renewable energy and energy efficiency with development partners. She studied Energy, Resources and Environment at The Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).


Ramla Qureshi
CEO and Founder, Women Engineers Pakistan (WEP)
Ramla Qureshi is the CEO of Women Engineers Pakistan (WEP); a grass-roots organization catalyzing participation and enabling retention of women in STEM fields. Through WEP, Ramla has relentlessly worked towards equal participation, representation, and advocacy for building and retaining a diverse population in STEM workplaces. WEP is a finalist for Falling Walls Remote 2020, in the category Science Breakthrough of the Year. Ramla is a structural and earthquake engineer, and a PhD researcher for structural safety and resilience against natural and man-made hazards. Ramla is also a Fulbright scholarship alumna, a recipient of the American Association for University Women Doctoral Fellowship, and a recipient of the MDRF Research Grant. 

 

Uzma Quresh
Senior Social Development Specialist, World Bank Pakistan
Uzma Quresh is working with the World Bank Group Pakistan Office as Social Development Specialist (Gender). Uzma has more than 14 years of experience of working on gender equality and women’s empowerment with international and national organizations covering a diverse range of issues including women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, enterprise development, violence against women, disaster risk reduction/management, food security, gender responsive budgeting and planning etc. She has previously worked with UN Women in Pakistan for eight years leading its women’s economic empowerment program and managed UN Women Uganda’s portfolio in 2016.
