In Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC), female employees are entitled to a six-month maternity leave, which is considered an active period. During maternity leave, female employees continue to receive their regular salary and allowances, including Basic Pay, CA, PBVA, and TAS Incentives. The performance evaluation of returning mothers is conducted over six months, but it does not have any impact on their remunerations since maternity leave is recognized as an active period. Consequently, returning mothers are safeguarded by the system in terms of performance evaluation.
