Health and Wellness Support for Returning Parents includes: 

a. In-house lactation rooms equipped with curtains/partitions, a refrigerator, a water sink for hand washing, shelves for personal items (such as pumps, milk bottles, and soaps), and electrical outlets. 

b. Medical and wellness support, recognizing that postnatal depression can affect new mothers. Returning to work may help address or alleviate this condition. 

c. A mentoring program designed for new mothers/parents and those expecting to become parents. 


WePOWER Partners' initiatives in terms of Health and wellness support

 

Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) established a lactation room for nursing mothers last year. BPC provides well-equipped gym facilities at the Head Office and the training center in Begana. Field offices also have sports facilities including badminton courts and table tennis.  

 

 

Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) sets up a breastfeeding corner when the Daycare Center is relocated to a new building.  

 

 

Feedback Energy Distribution Co. Ltd. (FEDCO) launches "F-Care" to support cases related to pregnancy, both during the pre and post stages.  

 

 

Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) offers a counseling facility for women to discuss personal and professional concerns.  

 

 

K-Electric has a Pregnancy Wellness Program, including counseling sessions for new mothers and their spouses to help them navigate life changes. As part of the Wellness Program, they have developed an e-learning module called the "Managers and Mums' Awareness (MAMA) Program" to assist managers and expecting employees. 

KE provides a "Mom's Room" for mothers who have returned from maternity leave with babies up to 2 years old, for lactation purposes or for days when they want to bring their child to work.  

 

In WAPDA ,there is a lactation room at the HQ. There is also one located in the HQ Day Care Center but in a separate room. WAPDA has established two gymnasiums at HQ and Upper Mall, with designated "women's time" to ensure privacy.  

WAPDA offers medical services to employees and their dependents nationwide through a network of hospitals, dispensaries, and clinics, including services for pregnant women, new mothers, babies, and infants.
