Ecuador: the Cofán de Sinangoe road to ban mining in their territory

This article narrates the long legal process, through which the indigenous people Cofán of Sinangoe of Ecuador obtain a decision from the Court of Sucumbíos to suspend all mining activity in the area and protected the rights to free and informed prior consultation, the healthy environment and water.
